The key responsibilities of the EL1 ICT Financial Management Officer are:

- Leading a team including taking responsibility for the achievements of own and team outcomes, monitoring progress and following through to ensure delivery of quality and timely outcomes.
- Co-ordination and delivery of IT cost estimates for internal and external budget process
- Work with various internal and external stakeholders to lead the development and implementation of ICT cost optimisation and financial sustainability initiatives.
- Delivery of timely, accurate and value-added financial advice to Branch Management and preparation of reports and briefs
- Build and maintain professional working relationships and collaborate with stakeholders in achieving the department’s outcomes and deliver on

ITD strategic priorities
- Prepare and oversee high-quality financial/budget and expenditure reports.
- Providing financial performance information against agreed metrics with supporting value-added commentary.
- Assist with building capabilities to establish a strategic financial management function within ITD.
- Use of Technology Business Management (TBM) as a discipline to improves business outcomes by providing department’s consistent approach to translate technology investments to business values.
- Ensuring Divisional compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks as well as commonwealth and departmental policies and procedures, including but not limited to the PGPA Act, PGPA associated instruments and policies, Commonwealth Procurement Rules, Indigenous Procurement Policy, and Finance Business Rules.

**Mandatory Qualification**:
To be eligible for this position applicants must hold a qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or contract management.
