**The Division**

The Customer Strategy and Technology (CST) team within Transport leads the development of long-term, multi-modal strategies, plans and policies across NSW. We leverage data and insights, implement new technologies, drive innovation and build partnerships to provide customer-centred solutions.

**The opportunity**

Right now, we have a permanent full-time opportunity for a Data Analyst to join us in the Technology and Innovation (TEI) team to undertake the acquisition, quality assurance, analysis, interpretation, manipulation and dissemination of operational data to provide trusted data services supporting business and customer outcomes

The role is responsible for supporting the acquisition of data from various sources, ensuring its effectively analysed to resolve customer problems while mitigating future occurrence of similar issues. Ensure dissemination of journey related data to customers, to enable the branch to achieve its strategic objectives. Most activities have defined and tight timeframes, so the person needs to be organised and work under pressure.

The role operates with autonomy in determining day to day work priorities within the context of an agreed work plan and in making associated decisions in relation to the effectiveness of the team.

**What you will be involved in**:

- Drive the timely resolution of data issues with owners and stakeholders to minimise the recurrence of issues, and as necessary, escalate to appropriate levels and governance
- Establish and manage strong working relationships with transport operators, data suppliers and key internal business areas to ensure the timely provision of accurate data.
- Provide consultation and ensure any changes to the end-to-end data environment have been captured in the required documentation/repository

**About you**

You are an experienced data analyst who possesses data management experience with medium to large complex organisations You can deliver under pressure and secure input from busy people across the branch to meet deadlines. You are a collaborator but always looking to how we can do things better and implementing improved processes

You have excellent data comprehension skills, are an analytical thinker, who can juggle and deliver multiple tasks.

In addition to this you will possess strong communication, data management and influencing skills.

As an individual, you are comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively with multiple internal/external stakeholders to drive shared outcomes. You are a team player with a sense of ownership and pride in delivering high quality solutions.

The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 7 ($108,770- $121,822) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
