Seeking an immediately available Payroll Officer for an ongoing contract
**Your new company**
This company is currently working in the northern suburbs of Hobart and is seeking an experienced and immediately available Payroll Officer to join the team for an ongoing contract.
**Your new role**
As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for processing the payroll for over 100 employees. You will also handle payroll queries, maintain employee records, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and awards. You will report to the HR Manager and work closely with the HR and Finance teams, as well as external stakeholders, to ensure payroll accuracy and timeliness.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a similar payroll position
- Proficiency in using payroll software, Chris 21 is preferable but not essential
- Knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, and tax
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
- Confident personality and the ability to be proactive
