We are seeking an Accounts Receivable (AR) Accounts Management Officer to be part of our AR Collections team within the Financial Transactional Services Department. This is a full-time position currently located at our Ballarat Business Centre.
**About the role**
The AR Accounts Management Officer is part of a team that is responsible for customer service engagements for debt resolution, undertaking accountabilities associated with management of customer accounts and administrative tasks relating to both consumer (patient) and corporate billing for Ambulance Victoria service fees, to meet service delivery performance and statutory obligations.
Reporting to the Advisor AR Accounts Management, the main responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
- Undertake accounts receivable and collections tasks, adhering to defined processes governed by AV procedure and policies, maximising timely debt resolution outcomes to meet service delivery performance and statutory obligations
- Undertake both inbound and outbound customer calls, to engage with customers to focus on account and outstanding debt resolution outcomes
- Attend to customer queries and complaints regarding billing for ambulance services and support requirements of consumer hardship and vulnerable customer engagement to assess and determine appropriate outcomes
- Maintain accurate records, with attention to detail and quality control, ensuring confidentiality is always maintained
- Provide support to the wider AR Collections team and undertake general administrative duties
**About you**
To be successful in this position you will have experience working in commercial and consumer account management with debt collector experience, with intermediate skills in Microsoft Office i.e. Excel, Word. A certificate in Business/Finance or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
You will have proven customer service skills with an ability to consistently meet performance call-handling targets and accuracy levels. You will be customer focused and adaptable to different personality types, fostering excellence in all customer engagements. Your attention to detail and quality control will drive high levels of accuracy, supported by a professional and mature attitude with sound judgement skills. You will have a strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently with minimum supervision, while also being a committed team member striving to achieve outstanding customer service while maximising debt resolution outcomes.
