The Risk and Control Manager - Digital role sits within the WPB Chief Controls Office and reports directly to the WPB Head of Risk and Controls. This role will act as the key business partner for the Digital business within WPB to understand, assess and help manage risks they face as they embed new technology and adopt new ways of working across their business.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Designing and implementing operational controls for digital products.
- Designing end to end digital risk management processes.
- Providing advice and guidance on the maintenance of an effective internal control environment facing digital transformations and ensuring key risks are appropriately addressed at the right stage of implementation.
- Execute control monitoring and testing programme based on business requirements.
- Oversight of remediation of issues arising from digital control monitoring and testing.
- Oversee implementation of digital change requirements by working with the Business Transformation teams.
- Produce regular reporting to Business and entity WPB Risk Management Forums, as well as oversight on material issues for escalation.
- Assist WPB Teams in implementing policies and procedures.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Good understanding of digital risk and controls, preferably gained through experience in Consulting, Fintechs and digital risk roles.
- Good understanding of the Group’s Operational Risk and Control Framework.
- General understanding of other areas of risk e.g. credit, market.
- Good knowledge of risk and control requirements needed to implement digital changes.
- Ability to conceptualise the operational impact of digital change.
- Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
- Ability to understand complex concepts.
- Understanding of modelling techniques and analytics in respect to Digital Risk.
- Ability to work independently and cope with pressure and tight deadlines.
