About the School
Located in the fast-growing area of Mango Hill in the Moreton Bay region, we are one of Queensland's newest secondary schools with our first full cohort of students from Year 7 to Year 12 in 2024.
Along with new building programs, we are building a committed, professional and dynamic teaching staff that will challenge and engage our young people, to allow them to explore the world around them in a safe and supportive learning environment.
About the Role
As the Head of Department - Junior Secondary, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited, to the following
Lead the curriculum areas or whole school program in developing and committing to a shared vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students.
Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
Set high standards for student and staff performance.
Engage in lifelong learning and professional development.
Build partnerships with students, parents, agencies, and community groups.
Be future-oriented and strategic.
Understand legislation and policies impacting on the school department, students and staff.
Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the curriculum areas or whole school program to achieve goals.
