We are expanding our team and looking to employ a dynamic Environmental Consultant to join out Melbourne team. The successful applicant will be motivated, driven, perform field work, with the capability to work autonomously and take direction well.

The duties are as follows:

- evaluating habitat, flora and fauna needs, and formulating short
- and long-term management goals and objectives
- assisting clients with compliance with laws and regulations to conserve and protect the environment, e.g., flora, fauna and/or aesthetic qualities from impacts of client’s activities
- conducting environmental impact assessments for a wide range of development projects
- proposing solutions to address negative environmental impact through the development of management plans
- studying the effects of factors, such as terrain, altitude, climatic and environmental change, sources of nutrition, predators and the impacts of humans, and human processes, on animal, plant life, human health, and aesthetic quality of the environment
- analysing pollution, atmospheric conditions, demographic characteristics, ecology, mineral, soil and water samples
- developing conservation and management policies and plans for biological resources, such as fish populations and forests, and establishing standards and developing approaches for the control of pollution and the rehabilitation of areas disturbed by activities such as mining, timber felling and overgrazing
- implementing policies and organising activities in designated parks and other areas to conserve and protect natural and cultural heritage
- participating in management planning by providing environmental information and making inventories of plants, animals and items of cultural and heritage significance

to be successful for this position the applicant will ideally hold the following Skill Level:

- Bachelor’s degree

or
- a minimum of 3 - 5 years’ work experience in the field,

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- South Melbourne, VIC 3205: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
