**Environmental Consultant Position (Melbourne Based)**

We are seeking an Environmental Consultantto join our Melbourne team.

This role is ideal for a professional with a minimum of 2 years’ of experience in contaminated land investigation and remediation who is looking to advance their technical career.

You will work with principal staff and a rapidly expanding team to deliver high-quality contaminated land management and remediation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Undertaking fieldwork associated with investigations, co-ordination of subcontractors and suppliers, liaison with analytical laboratories, data review, assisting with drafting of reports and proposals, completion of weekly timesheets, and various other administrative tasks.
- Preparing reports and proposals.
- Lifecycle project management, including proposals and broad project execution with direct responsibility for the quality and delivery of all aspects of any project carried out under your direction.
- A proactive approach to client relationship management, and ensuring that business development opportunities are staffed and pursued.
- Working collaboratively with others to achieve company objectives.
- Ensuring awareness of, and compliance with, all relevant state and federal legislation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- BEng in Environmental or Geological Engineering, BS in Geology, Hydrogeology or Environmental Science or related field (required)
- Current Driver’s Licence (required)
- Approval/authorization to work full time in Australia
- Minimum 2 years of consulting experience in the contaminated land consulting industry

**About You**

You are passionate about solving contaminated land problems and possess the following skills:

- Proven project management skills
- Experience working with Tier 1 & Tier 2 developers, and/or government/infrastructure projects.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with clients and team members
- Familiarity with current contaminated land legislation and VIC EPA guidelines
- Demonstrated team player
- Strong Communication skills both verbal and written - the ability to communicate ideas in a clear and succinct manner & meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent time-management - Capable of managing several projects concurrently
- Good Interpersonal skills - The ability to foster & maintain relationships with our clients
- Ability to manage subcontractors effectively to achieve desired outcomes of projects
- The ability to problem-solve & develop solutions to complex site issues
