Gliderol Garage Doors is looking for a qualified and motivated Electrical Fitter to join our Melbourne team. This is a hands-on role maintaining and improving our automated manufacturing equipment and supporting our national operations. You’ll work in a modern production environment where your technical skills and initiative make a real impact.

About the role:
You’ll be responsible for electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring the reliability of our machinery and automation systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, flexibility, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, and fault-finding across production equipment
- Support PLC diagnostics and troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
- Assist with mechanical maintenance tasks when needed
- Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and plant shutdown work
- Ensure compliance with electrical standards and safe work practices
- Complete accurate maintenance documentation and work ordersWork collaboratively with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime

**YOUR SKILLS**

- Unrestricted Electrical License
- 3-5 years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong PLC fault-finding experience (Siemens and Allan Bradley systems)
- Knowledge of AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008.1, and AS/ANZ 4024 standards
- Sound mechanical aptitude and confidence working with complex systems
- Current CPR and LVR certifications
- Ability to work independently with a strong focus on safety
- EWP, Forklift, or Confined Space tickets are a plus

A pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening will be required.
