Provide strategic advice and support to all stakeholders on effective investment planning and progression processes across all investment types, including advice on planning, governance, control and associated financial management practices.
- Lead development of departmental responses to Whole of Government strategic capital program planning queries, reporting and planning obligations, including Strategic Asset Management Plan, Queensland Government Investment Portal, 10 Year Capital Outlook and associated ad hoc queries.
- Lead development of departmental framework, standards and guidelines to support the department's strategic asset management planning and capital investment.
- Manage the analysis, development, co-ordination and finalisation of the annual asset management planning and capital investment cycle for the department.
- Support the development, coordination and management of the department's investment framework and operation of the Investment Subcommittee.
- Coordinate and partner with the department's corporate services leads, across procurement, digital enterprise capability, reform delivery and legal, to review and provide advice on investment submission and development. Lead the review of investment submissions in a financial context, including cost modelling for investment delivery expenditure and benefits.
- Lead research and analysis to support continued improvement and maturity in the integration of strong financial management in project, asset and investment management activities, collaborating as required with other domain experts and other State Government agencies.
- Provide professional advice and independent analysis to senior leaders on management accounting, project, asset and investment management and governance matters.
- Other duties as directed and required.
