**About the position**:
**The Operations Manager is a key member of Council's Liveable and Active Communities program area. This position is part of a multi-skilled team and is required to be flexible and agile. It plays a pivotal role in directly supporting the Leisure Facilities Manager through the provision of professional service and direction in all operational and customer service-related activities within the Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre (GSAC), including the Youth Plaza and Skate Park, along with the Lismore Memorial Baths (LMB). This is a permanent full-time role, working 38 hours per week.**

**What we trust you to deliver**:

- **Coordinate and deliver excellent customer service, including training and support of new staff.**:

- **Manage daily operations, overseeing staff, and handling resource allocation and scheduling.**:

- **Support in setting up facilities for scheduled programs, events and activities.**:

- **Promote and be an advocate of centre space hire/usage in the facility, looking for opportunities to maximising use and revenue.**

**What you'll need to be successful**:

- **Thorough working knowledge and experience in customer service/sales and operational facility experience or Certificate IV in aquatic, recreation and/or business management or similar**:

- **Be self-motivated, proactive, observant and aware.**:

- **Have the ability to prioritise and schedule work and meet deadlines.**:

- **Have a genuine customer service focus.**
