We are seeking a** full-time Education Consultant **with expertise in **school regulations,** with exceptional skills in supporting independent schools in meeting State and National regulatory requirements.

**WHAT WILL YOU DO?**
The broader role of the Regulation and Accreditation Education Consultant at AISNSW typically involves a variety of consultancies to support schools’ self-assurance processes for compliance with regulatory requirements, designing and delivering professional learning sessions, providing feedback about policies and procedures, and collaboratively producing a range of resources for member schools. The audience for these can be individuals or groups of people including principals, school executive, classroom teachers and professional support staff.

This position will involve responding to requests from schools to provide high level advice, support, guidance and professional learning in all aspects of education regulations, including but not limited to NESA school registration and accreditation, teacher accreditation policy, overseas students, attendance and enrolment, and reporting requirements.

This position will also involve visiting member schools in Sydney and across NSW for consultancy support and to deliver professional learning.

**WHAT QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE WILL YOU NEED?**
- Tertiary education qualifications.
- Experience in a teaching and/or school leadership role.
- Experience in implementing, managing or coordinating programs to support the compliance of independent school(s).

**WHAT WILL BE YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES?**
- Responding to a diverse and varied range of specific school needs through a daily rostered intake model.
- Providing timely and expert verbal and written advice and support about a range of regulatory requirements.
- Reviewing and analysing school documentation to provide comprehensive feedback, focusing on current regulatory requirements for school registration and accreditation, teacher accreditation policy, overseas students, attendance and enrolment, and reporting requirements.
- Developing effective communications and resources to support member schools in implementing a range of regulatory requirements.
- Designing and delivering effective professional learning that is based upon principles of adult learning to support member schools in a range of regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring and identifying emerging issues and changes to regulatory requirements and developing communications and advice to support schools to address current, new and changed requirements.
- Other duties as required by the Chief Executive.

**WHAT SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES WILL YOU HAVE?**
- Understanding of the NSW independent school sector and the role of AISNSW as a peak body and member-based service organisation.
- Working knowledge and understanding of current State and National regulatory requirements or the ability to develop this knowledge, including but not limited to NESA school registration and accreditation, teacher accreditation, overseas students, attendance and enrolment, and reporting requirements.
- Capacity to maintain confidentiality, discretion and deal respectfully with sensitive regulatory matters.
- High level communication, analytical and interpersonal skills, to work collaboratively and to provide advice with clarity and confidence to member schools.
- Proven ability to provide both high level and specific constructive feedback verbally and in writing.
- Advanced ability to create texts for specific purposes.
- Confidence to deliver and ability to engage groups of adult learners in high quality professional learning experiences via a range of modes.
- Demonstrated skills in project management, including working to deadlines, balancing competing priorities, teamwork and working across a range of school contexts.
- Willingness and capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a small team and across the organisation in a proactive manner.
- Experience in building and strengthening professional relationships in diverse school settings through a service-oriented approach.
- Commitment to the purpose and values of AISNSW.

**WHAT WE NEED**:

- Capacity to work within the office environment.
- Capacity to travel across metropolitan Sydney and beyond, including across NSW into regional areas, which involves being away overnight,
