**About this work area**As Unit Commercial Activity Manager - QLD Market your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the implementation of the commercial calendar and development of the local activities to drive traffic, maximise sales, profit and ensure vitality in the store, as well as lead IKEA Family and local community engagement.
- Lead country commercial calendar implementation in the store and ensure local market potential is taken into consideration by identifying opportunities for the local activities and celebrations.
- Ensure implementation of the country strategy in the store and identify key opportunities for the local activation where necessary.
- Lead the implementation of national development of local events in the store and analyse the activity performance, using available commercial activity tools including identification of successful activities, solutions, and ideas, and use this information to improve the planning of future activities.
- Act as a strategic partner for the Unit Management Team supporting in building strong commercial plans and communicate with the matrix sharing good examples.
- Lead, manage and coach co-workers to encourage development, support succession and secure a high performing team.
As Unit Commercial Activity Manager - QLD Market you are:
- Knowledgeable and have strong understanding of the entire IKEA product range, tools, process and cycles, being able to identify opportunities and drive a unique commercial calendar.
- An experience retail leader with extensive commercial knowledge and strong people leadership who can lead, coach and drive the team to contribute to the overall success of the store’s commercial initiatives.
- An ability to strategically plan and anticipate future trends to maximise impact of IKEA’s product range on the local market.
- Operationally and strategically minded with the ability to identify commercial opportunities to contribute to the growth of IKEA through understanding customers, competitors, and market behaviour.
- Fully embodying IKEA’s values in all actions and decisions, contributing to leading the business through a people-focused approach that resonates with IKEA’s core values.
To be considered for this role, experience in the following is essential:
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Commercial Activities leadership, Shopkeeper or equivalent role. With at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Proven effective business acumen and people management skills where you are able to cultivate an environment of trust and high performance to achieve business goals.
- Robust experience in and in-depth understanding in relevant digital IKEA commercial tools.
- Proven experience leading and delivering a customer first culture and mindset within the market and omnichannel retail landscape.
