**About the role**
The Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD) Patient Flow and Virtual Care Unit (PF&VC) will ensure all patients receive the right care, in the right place, by the right team, at the right time all of the time.
Working closely with the facility Patient Flow Managers and multidisciplinary teams across the LHD, and in other LHDs including those which are interstate, to facilitate and coordinate timely, safe and cost effective interfacility transfers, working closely with the Patient Transport Service (PTS) and NSW Ambulance Service to determine the mode of transport required.
Clinician engagement and leadership has been a prominent feature of the public health system for a number of years, where clinician led clinical standards, safety and quality improvements have become a major focus. The LHD is committed to the strengthening and ongoing involvement and clinician engagement of staff that provide direct patient care in the planning, delivery, improvement and evaluation of health services.
