The Salvation Army Australia’s Homelessness Stream provides high quality, person-centred services to people at risk, and or experiencing homelessness. We support all cohorts in case management, outreach support, financial assistance, connection and referral to other specialist services.

We are seeking a values-driven and dedicated Kitchen Hand to be responsible for the cleanliness of all catering related equipment and flatware including all washing areas at Foster House.
This is a permanent full-time rbased in Surry Hills.
You will successfully
- Adhere to all cleaning, food preparation, presentation and food service procedures and standards
- Ensure smooth running of the back of house and dining room areas at Foster House
- Complete all preparation of food in accordance with procedures within the allocated time frames
- Participates in team activities, attends staff meetings when scheduled
You will have
- Undertaken food hygiene training
- Worked in a team environment and is a team player with energy, flexibility and integrity
- Good attention to detail and sound time management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under conflicting time pressures
- Previous kitchen hand experience would be advantageous
- A valid Employee Working with Children Check
- A willingness to undergo a National Police Check
