We are a seeking a customer service orientated "Service Desk Officer" for on our client in Emergency services located in Melbourne. They use one of a kind communication services to manage the provision of advanced, operational communications for State level emergency services. As Service Desk Officer you will provide technical support to users in an efficient and accurate manner. You will be considered the IT service front liner and will solve basic technical problems and provide support for all assigned areas. Its a 3-months contract initially. **Responsibilities**: - Respond to customer inquiries promptly, courteously and efficiently - End-user equipment setup / support / maintenance and SOE deployment - Monitor health of ICT environment and provide level 2 ICT support - Initial triage of logged incidents and monitoring alerts - Maintain records of all calls and logs of reported incidents and requests using a standard IT Service Management tool - Maintain accurate asset management records to track hardware and software issued to customers **Requirements**: - ITIL Certificate - Demonstrable skills and experience in maximising first call resolution opportunities - Proven ability to show initiative in work activities and complete tasks in a meticulous manner - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders **Benefits** - The contribution of each individual really matters - Your efforts will make a difference to people every day - The work we do is personally rewarding and critical to the Victorian community - Our people are proud of the role we play and the important work we do - The service we offer is as unique as the challenges you’ll face - The variety and importance of what we do every day will drive you to fulfill your true potential
