In the **Assistant Controller** role you will be responsible for the accuracy, reliability and integrity of the company’s results. You will drive continuous improvement, establishing scalable processes to ensure the business is set up for its next growth phase.

**Responsibilities**:

- Own the reported results of the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
- Partner closely with Centre of Excellence to ensure month end submission is completed on time and in line US GAAP, AASB and Stryker corporate policies
- Business Partner with key stakeholders to ensure cash flow KPIs are achieved
- Manage financial and control aspect of acquisitions to ensure smooth business integration
- Project manage key business enhancements with a focus on controls, working collaboratively with the business, maximising systems ability and streaming processes to achieve desired commercial outcomes
- Manage key stakeholders including external auditors & their interaction with the business
- Mentor, develop and support a team of 5 direct reports to ensure development of technical competency and a high level of team engagement

**Skills & Requirements**
- Proven experiencing as a leader within Finance team, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial controls, accounting standards, month end preparation, people management and leading business practices
- Negotiation and communication skills to effectively build relationships
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to write reports
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing business priorities
- High standard of ethics and professionalism
