Technical Lead/Advisor Opportunity within the Public Sector

**Your new company**

A large public sector organisation is looking for a Technical Lead & Advisor who would be responsible to work with solution architects and designers to assist with the overall design, implementation and support of technical solutions. They will be actively participating in creating new products and services, ensuring that customers’ needs are met to the highest standards. They will work with the engineering team to ensure that development, practices, standards and techniques are understood and adhered to. This is a 6 month contract role with a possibility to extend.

**Your new role**
- Determine local and team-based standards for development tools and techniques and provide advice and guidance as to their use to ensure compliance with standards to maintain the quality of developed products and tools.
- Collaborate with other leaders to deliver products and services across different programs of work
- Work with key stakeholders to understand requirements
- Lead engineering team in development of solutions
- Guide, support, coach and mentor team members

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Experience designing / co-designing / implementing medium to large scale solutions.
- Excellent knowledge of design patterns and architecture best practices and patterns (Serverless, Event Driven, Microservices).
- Experience with CI/CD and testing automation.
- Experience with AWS Cloud offering
- Hands on coding experience with NodeJS, React, SQL
- Strong technical background and understanding of development best practices.
- Ability to advise business stakeholders on technical options and solutions.
- Ability to lead and advise technical teams in implementation of agreed solutions.
- Previous experience working with Agile methodology.
