**About ELMHS**

The Early in Life Mental Health Services (ELMHS) provides assessment and treatment for infants, children, adolescents, young people and their families. We work with the 0-18 age group in the Southern Region. We provide a comprehensive assessment service and a range of treatment options including inpatient treatment in times of crisis, community (outpatient) treatment, group programs, family therapy, and specialist services. We work with families in addressing a number of complex issues that families may be experiencing including school refusal, parent/child relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, trauma related issues, self-harm, suicidal thinking, eating disorders, neuro developmental presentations and psychosis.

**A Day in the Life**

The Core Community Treatment Team provides short to medium term treatment for infants, children, adolescents and their families in the City of Casey, City of Greater Dandenong, Shire of Cardinia and the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula area. In this role you will work across the infant and child stream and adolescent stream within a multidisciplinary team led by consultant psychiatrists.

The wellbeing support workers provide psychosocial support to young people and their families. This may include supporting engaging with friends, family, school, community programs, developing independent life skills, as well as liaising with and supporting referrals to other mental health supports and/or family support services. They work alongside the mental health clinicians and consultant psychiatrist in the provision of holistic mental health support for young people and their families.

We have full time ongoing and part time ongoing opportunities available across our Casey and Frankston sites. No two days will be the same as you work within an established, friendly and supportive team environment, working closely together to care for clients along with providing opportunities for staff development and growth in areas that staff are passionate about. Taking a team focus on delivery of care, our primary focus is on a patient’s safe journey through theatre.
