**About 5East - Cardiothoracic Unit**
- Ward 5East is a dynamic 32-bed unit specialising in cardiac and thoracic surgery and cardiology medicine. The unit is committed to patient centred, evidenced based care and is dedicated to continuing professional development for all staff.

**About the role**
- Ward 5 East have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Service Assistant to join our team 2 days/week (16hrs/week), on Saturday and Sundays.
- You will need to perform the duties of this position efficiently to the standards of Austin Health. Patient Service Assistants as part of the Ward 5East team will assist in the delivery of patient care services through the competent provision of defined services.
- A regular day will see you:

- Assist the 5East team and clients with patient movement and flow
- Face to face interaction with clients and their families
- Receive delegation from the nurse in charge of the shift

**About you**
- As the Patient Services Assistant - Grade 2, You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
- To be successful in this role, you'll bring with you:

- PSA Certificate - Certificate III in Health (Patient Services)
- Wiliness to carry out PSA duties and tasks whilst working within a team environment
- Ability to use initiative and to prioritise tasks and problem solve
