**The opportunity**

We are looking for an ambitious and driven individual to join our dynamic in-house Group Legal team.

**Your new role**

Reporting into the Special Counsel in the Group Legal Technology & Commercial team, you'll assist a team of lawyers to provide high quality legal support services to QBE Group.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with ambition, intelligence, and a strong work ethic to build their knowledge in corporate and commercial law with a view to developing to a junior lawyer role.

**Your Role Will Involve**:

- Conducting legal research on commercial law, privacy, artificial intelligence and technology and analysing legal issues and recommending appropriate solutions under the guidance and direction of counsel
- Preparing legal documents, including confidentiality agreements and service contracts
- Assisting lawyers with workflow and delivery of legal advice
- Maintaining legal files and systems
- Providing administrative support and responding to enquiries
- Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of relevant legislation and internal policy / governance documents and procedures

**About You**:
We are looking for a qualified lawyer, Law Graduate or someone studying towards a legal qualification who is keen to progress to lawyer
- Fundamental knowledge of Law and familiarity with legal terminology and principles
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory research methodology
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Tech-savvy with knowledge of legal systems and tools
- Ability to analyse and review legal documents
- Experience with legal research
