Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Civil Drafter to join our Dynamic Earth Solutions group in Newcastle and Sydney.

From studies, analysis, and design to construction supervision and monitoring, our DES group specialises in site planning, spatial information and digital terrain modelling, surface and subsurface investigations, rock mechanics, underground structures, geotechnical laboratory services, flood forecasting and water resource management.

The role will support the development and delivery of infrastructure projects from concept designs to construction. This includes working with diverse delivery teams on minor to major - road and rail infrastructure projects for varying clients. The role will be to ensure that design documentation deliverables meet the project timeframes and quality through engagement with team members and stakeholders.

- Work on a wide range of projects - road design, stormwater/wastewater/water design, bulk earthworks and haul roads, retaining walls and geotechnical investigations.
- Use CAD software to create high quality engineering drawings.
- Issue drawing and PDF sets - from concept plans through to construction and as-built drawings.
- Assist with drawing document control, uploading/downloading files for clients, drawing databases and standard detail libraries.

**You will bring to this role**:

- Previous experience in a civil drafting role.
- Proficiency in one or more civil drafting packages, including AutoCAD, Microstation, OpenRoads, 12d Model or Civil3D.
- Formal qualifications, such as Diploma of Civil.
- Ability to work in a small team or independently.
- Good communication skills and general computer literacy
- Demonstrated organisational skills including the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow-up actions with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions based on sound judgement.
