**About the Role**:
As the Performance Business Partner, you will be responsible for delivering high level and strategic advice and analysis to VU’s academic and operational leaders. Your work will support these stakeholders in decision making driving business change, particularly in student load planning, fee setting, course review and selection, and advisory on student-related government funding policies.

**An example of the duties you may perform are**:

- Collaborate with a diverse range of University leaders and staff within a designated portfolio to source and use data and information to analyse business issues or problems, find growth opportunities and identify and recommend changes in line with university strategies and plans, and develop tailored reports.
- Partner with relevant stakeholders to support annual and strategic planning by providing information, insights and recommendations on student load, load profile and load targets, funding, fee settings and an optimal academic program for the annual budget, forward year estimates for the financial plan, and other planning needs.
- Undertake benchmarking, research and competitor analysis to provide decision support to university leaders.
- Use knowledge of internal and external data and information sources of relevance to the partner portfolio; be able to extract data for analyses or develop reports from complex information and quantitative and qualitative sources

**This is a Full time, Fixed Term position working 36.75 hours per week at a HEP Level 8 classification with salary range of $106,346 - $119,760 per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.**

**About You**:

- Expertise in using a range of large and varied data sources, including both internally and externally
- sourced information to conduct research and create reports, recommendations and presentations to provide senior leaders with a clear and succinct basis for evidence-based decisions intended to solve business challenges or identify business opportunities.
- Demonstrated expertise using enterprise business intelligence software, statistical analysis and data manipulation tools as relevant.
- Experience manipulating, analysing, visualising, presenting and reporting information to produce accurate, timely, innovative, attractive and highly-targeted management reports and presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative in liaising and coordinating with leaders of large and complex portfolios to prepare timely, succinct reports in a client-oriented way
