Field Service Technician

This role is responsible for delivering field service support to TrakPak’s customers including planned preventive maintenance, upgrades, installation, commissioning and training. The role will also support the Trak Group in manufacturing and building new equipment when not in the field.

**Role requirements**:
Complete training on filling equipment

Follow preventative maintenance service routines as prescribed in training

Improve service routines and service schedules

Travel to customer sites

Provide telephone support

Attend breakdown’s promptly and use problem solving skills to provide effective solutions

Complete safety documentation

Complete service reports and make recommendations for next service

Support continuous improvement of customers equipment

Plan and project manage service work and continuous improvement activities

Assist with the Trak spare parts processes as required

Train and coach customers and team members

Rebuild and overhaul equipment

Support manufacture of new equipment when in Trak’s Melbourne base.

As your skills grow there will be opportunities to work on a wide range of filler, packaging, engineering, automation and continuous improvement projects across the group.

**Essential Criteria**

Trade qualification - Mechanical or Dual Electrical & Mechanical

Disconnect/Reconnect Restricted Electrical License (or ability to obtain License)

You must have previous relevant experience supporting and maintaining automated food and/or beverage packaging equipment. Previous experience in Gable Top carton fillers or aseptic carton fillers in dairy, alternative dairy and juice industry will be highly regarded.

Ability and willingness to travel within Australia and internationally

Experience in field-based work within dairy, alternative dairy and juice industry

Willing to work a flexible roster (weekend work will be a requirement)

Valid current driver’s licence

TrakPak’s service team is building on the demand from these customers to provide hands-on practical service and support technicians who can use our rapid improvement methodologies to effectively implement planned service work and continuous improvement projects.

**Trak Automation** designs and builds robot grippers and custom machines for system integrators all over the world. The Ferntree Gully factory has a wide range of CNC mills, CNC lathes, laser cutter, CNC brake press and fabrication equipment that are all used to manufacture components for Trak Automation and other leading machine builders.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
