Job Description Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Field Supervisor to join Service Stream in our Telecommunications team based in Ferntree Gully.
About the Role
Service Stream’s Telecommunications division are currently seeking a Senior Field Supervisor to join our growing company. You will be responsible for the project through managing the VIC Network Maintenance field workforce across multiple work types and clients, reporting into the Victorian Manager.
Provide leadership by safely managing performance of people, projects, and processes. This includes primary responsibility for planning, execution and closing activities necessary to successfully Build, Maintain and Decommission Optus Network, Uecomm Networks and Power Utility safely. Support other internal work stream. To ensure adherence to best practices project management principles.
Willing and able to be part of a rostered-On Call Availability, including working outside normal working hours on a regular basis.

Reporting Line: Program Manager - Network Maintenance
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in formal and contractual meetings with the client and other relevant parties.
- Carry out Pre-works/Scoping activities including:
- Design and constructability review of all work packs
- Pre - work coordination with 3rd parties (including council inspections)
- Performing a detail site inspection to identify start condition, scope changes and constructability issues.
- Ability to provide BOM/BOQ from site inspections, for contestable pricing responses
- Assisting the Stakeholder manager during the pre-work land access notification period.
- Coordinate all activities across the project, including scheduling/programming of works.
- Responsible for ensuring that everyone that undertakes work for a project has the correct training and has valid licences.
- Supporting the works management system to ensure all maintenance activities are completed.
- Ensure all KPIs and contract performance requirements are met.
- Conduct toolbox meetings; communicate policies, procedures and practices to work teams.
- Assist in the development and review of SWMS.
- Ensure all required management systems documentation is adhered to.
- Manage the asset data for the site in the relevant Work Order Management System ensuring it is kept up to date.
- Ensure all recoverable and chargeable costs on damaged assets are entered in the management system.
- Ensure accuracy of data in the work order Management System.
- Asset management awareness and maintenance and repair methodologies.
- Ensure all work is completed to required specifications, standards and within required time frames.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with the key stakeholders.
- Understand the project vision and ensure it is delivered within project timeframes.
- Promote open and transparent communication as appropriate to encourage understanding of all stakeholder requirements and drivers.
- Liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate and possess the following:
- Hold a current driver’s license
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Infrastructure Services environment
- Experience in civil, telecommunications and hands on problem solving
- Proven experience in the Telecommunications industry
- Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure and asset management systems an advantage.
- Understanding of contract administration
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite (Work/ Excel/ Outlook)
- Good communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work within a team
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work alone
- Demonstrated strong leadership
- Ability to respond calmly and decisively during an major incident or emergency
- Ability to coordinate and manage subcontractors, deal with on-site issues, quality and safety management, scheduling
