**Your New Role - Transport Allocator**

The purpose of the Transport Allocator position is to execute in line with the National Allocation Strategy to ensure the successful day-to-day planning, routing, and allocation of deliveries for the clients. Strategically allocate

freight to vehicles ensuring maximum productivity, utilisation, efficiency, and safety.
- Allocation is conducted in line with the National Allocation Strategy, taking proactive steps in planning the allocation of work to ensure maximum cross-utilisation and productivity of Delivery
Professional (DP) fleet to meet key performance indicators and financial obligations as determined by the company and by clients
- Responsibility of rostering fleet in accordance with allocation strategy, the clients’ needs and the volume of work, in collaboration with the DX team
- Execute appropriate recovery processes for escalations
- Ensure utilisation of routing software and capacity management systems
- Responsible for driving a positive culture with the DP fleet by building effective and supportive relationships and ensuring responsive, open and positive communication, with all DP’s
- Responsible for participating in open communications with the DX team about DP performance observations
- Escalating clients and customers queries, in a timely manner to the CX team or in accordance with specific company processes
- Meeting the requirements of the Allocations Strategy pertaining to each client and continually improving on the average number of deliveries per DP, per day

**What you will need to succeed**
- Transport Allocator Experience
- Ability to work co-operatively and effectively within the team and the organisation
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with conflicting demands simultaneously, solve problems, manage and meet deadlines and maintain a high quality of work
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong customer experience focus and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving ability
- Initiative to step outside of the routine to achieve results
- Proactive attitude to the identification and resolution of issues
- Flexibility and willingness to contribute to areas of non-direct responsibility
- Technologically savvy with strong ability to utilise technology, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Freight Management systems and other industry systems such as route optimisation software.
