Aircraft Safety Equipment Maintainer

**Your Role**
As an Aircraft Safety Equipment Maintainer in the Air Force, you’ll have the vital responsibility of making sure safety equipment worn and used by our pilots and aircrew is ready to go. You’ll fit and maintain this equipment within advanced military aircraft such as the F-35A Lightning II, E/A-18 Growler and F/A-18F Super Hornet. You’ll also train pilots and aircrew to correctly use the equipment, ensuring their safety during Air Force missions, operations, and exercises.
Your duties may include:
- Maintaining life support equipment within an aircraft such as life rafts, fire extinguishers, parachutes, and thermal components.
- Maintaining life support equipment worn by aircrew such as ballistic vests, helmets, night vision goggles, oxygen masks, Anti-G and Immersion suits, and chemical protection systems.
- Training aircrew on the proper use of safety equipment, survival techniques, and handling explosive ordnance, pyrotechnics, and firearms.

**Salary**
Upon completion of initial military and employment training, you will enjoy a salary package starting from $75,451.
**Location**
Following training, you may be posted to one of the major Air Force bases around Australia, such as RAAF Base Amberley, Williamtown, or Edinburgh.
For this role, you must be at least 17 at the time of enlistment, an Australian Citizen, and have passed Year 10 English, Maths and Science.
**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
