Your role at St John of God Health Care

You will support the Distribution Centre Manager to supervise and lead the Distribution Centre operational team to ensure delivery of the highest level of inventory distribution services to all Divisions of St John of God Health Care and provide effective leadership in safety and the daily functions of stock receipting, picking, packing and despatch.

The Position
- Provide leadership and direction as part of the Distribution Centre team, ensuring the daily receipting, picking, packing, and despatch functions are performed to the highest level of accuracy and efficiency and the targeted customer service levels are achieved.
- Ensure the Distribution Centre team achieves the daily output requirements and that all required schedules are achieved
- Ensure all tasks are performed as per existing policies and procedures and contribute to the development and implementation of new procedures
- Supervise the Distribution Centre team by prioritising the daily work load, assigning tasks and directing team members in relation to performing the receipting, picking, packing and despatch functions
- Manage the Distribution Centre team rostering for planned/unplanned leave and ensure appropriate resources are rostered to meet operational demand
- Perform Storeperson duties receipting and putting stock away, picking, packing and despatching goods, loading and unloading vehicles with forklift.
- Provide customer service and advise on all supply chain matters to stakeholders in divisions.
- Ensure the Distribution Centre is maintained in a clean and safe manner ensuring all OH&S and Safe Operating Procedures are adhered to by all distribution centre caregivers

You will have highly developed leadership skills within a small team and experience in a supply environment. Strong customer service skills and physical capability to perform all supply functions are essential to this position.

To succeed you will hold a current Victorian Heavy Vehicle Drivers licence (Light Rigid) and valid Victorian drivers license. It is highly regarded if you have a qualification in warehousing, logistics or related discipline.

- Salary $67,569 to $69,232 per annum plus 11.5% Superannuation
- Permanent full time position working 76 hours a fortnight
- Located at the Wendouree Distribution Centre
