Are you looking for an exciting and rewarding role in Property Facility Management with a motivated, high energy and passionate team?

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Area Facilities Manager to join our Property Facility Management Team in Blackburn on a permanent, full-time basis.

Reporting to the National Leasehold Facilities Manager, you will be responsible to provide strategic oversight to 350 Salvos stores with a further 200 Family/ Thrift stores to ensure that our tenant & landlord FM obligations are being adhered under the terms & conditions of lease.

As Facilities Manager your responsibilities will include:

- Provide strategic facilities management and other general property advice and support to other core property functions to support overall optimisation of the portfolio
- Ensure delivery of best valued FM services that accommodates the needs of our retail stores whilst maintaining key relationships (internal/external) statutory & legislative compliance requirements
- Identify property portfolio risks and capital expenditure requirements to ensure properties are safe & legally compliant and meet the needs of TSA from a leasehold perspective
- Manage operational rhythm of all planned and reactive maintenance ensuring landlord commitments are being satisfied
- Ensure compliance around tenant FM contractual obligations and landlord responsibilities - substantial interaction/negotiations with Landlords
- Implement cost & avoidance savings strategies within our expenditure lease portfolio - consolidation of Planned & Preventative Maintenance
- Drive the implementation of the transition program of Family & Thrift stores to Salvos Stores over the next 2-3 years

ABOUT YOU

The ideal person will be a proactive, collaborative team member who adopts a hands-on approach. You will be comfortable with multi-tasking and problem solving and adopt a strong client focus. You are a people person with high engagement levels and excellent stakeholder relationship building capacity to support the portfolio.
- 7+ years facilities or property management experience of a state or multi state portfolio of similar scale of property portfolio, including Retail, social housing, social programs, commercial, religious and other properties
- Qualification in Building, Engineering or Property related management or a related Business discipline
- Experience in establishing and refining facilities management service for a geographically dispersed national retail property portfolio
- Strong background with FM or Property Management - strong understanding of general FM lease interpretation
- Excellent communication, influencing of outcomes & negotiation skills - non adversarial environment
- Strategic and results focused approach with the ability to adapt within a diverse range of stakeholders (i.e. Landlords and external managing agents)
- Experience in regularly analysing actual costs looking for ways to maximize savings and reduce reactive work, including national or regionally based procurement activities
