The Opportunity:
Lynas Rare Earths is seeking an experienced Corporate Affairs Manager to join the team. Reporting to the VP Corporate Affairs, you will be responsible for delivering effective corporate communications, managing media relations, coordinating investor engagement, and promoting Lynas as an ethical and sustainable business. You will be the voice behind our story—ensuring clear, consistent, and positive messaging across all internal and external channels. This is a fixed term 12-month contract based in Perth, with regular visits to our WA operating sites as required.
As a highly valued member of the Lynas Rare Earths team, you will:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local, national, and international media
- Provide expert communications advice, including issues management
- Support and deliver strategic communication programs, including proactive media and advertising campaigns
- Draft and distribute community newsletters and stakeholder updates
- Oversee communications across digital platforms including intranet, website, and social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube)
- Draft and manage investor communication materials and reporting timelines
- Coordinate site visits, information booths, and investor events
- Maintain a corporate calendar and coordinate Lynas’ participation in industry events
- Manage media, partnerships, and community feedback inboxes
- Support the development of the Annual Report, ESG Report, and Modern Slavery Report
- Plan and deliver major events
- Prepare materials and coordinate responses for investor and ESG surveys
- Manage internal corporate surveys, including the biennial All Staff Engagement Survey.
What you will bring to the team:
Minimum 10 years’ experience in media relations and/or investor communications (ideally in an ASX listed company) with excellent writing and editing skills.
Desired experience in:
- Social media management
- ESG and financial reporting
- Event planning and coordination
- Marketing and communications collateral development
- Community engagement
Qualifications and/or Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, or a related field
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to build excellent relationships at all levels
- Collaborative team player
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach
- Strong project and organisational management skills
- Ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
