**What does it mean to be an Assistant Unit Manager at RUOMKY?**

Reporting to the Unit Manager, this role directs two supervisors to lead our biggest team. We are seeking a true people manager who is able to guide staff and manage several tasks at once.

The Assistant Unit Manager is responsible for:

- The smooth running of their Unit Area
- People management and providing direction
- Overseeing the food production of high-volume areas
- Ensuring required food output is met
- Ensuring packing is ready to go on time for dispatch
- Ensuring machinery is operational and escalating repairs where required
- Always ensuring food safety standards are followed
- Ensuring the areas are cleaned and kept at top hygiene standards
- Ensuring that all staff are staying safe by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Have experience in the same or similar role
- Be able to demonstrate their ability to manage production areas with high output levels (i.e 200 lasagne trays, 3-4 tonnes of sauces)
- Be a real people manager who understands the importance of being on the floor with the staff
- Have the ability to keep staff on task
- Be able to demonstrate their ability to make and find efficiencies
- A problem solver who takes the initiative to motivate a team meet deadlines
- Have the ability to remain calm and organise what is required to get the job done
- Be well presented and punctual
- Be available to work a variety of shifts - no night shifts
- Flexibility with start and finish times to suit business demands is an absolute must

Experience in similar leadership position and working environment is essential.

A NSW Drivers License and own transport is advantageous due to the early shift start times and limited public transport available at these times.
