**Public Relations and Communications Officer**

As part of our marketing team and reporting to the GM - Victoria, this newly created position - Public Relations and Communications Officer - will see you contributing to the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of information and communication strategies that create an understanding and a favourable view of SSKB Victoria, its services and role within the community.

You will be responsible for:

- Developing and managing publicity campaigns and communication strategies to enhance organisation viability within the Melbourn / Victoria region
- Provide advice to executives regarding the public relations implications of their policies, programs and practices
- Create, review and oversee the distribution of news and press releases
- Conduct public opinion research and analyse findings
- Align public relations efforts with Victorian growth strategies
- Assist the SSKB marketing team with the planning and executing of events and social functions for the region
- Assist the SSKB marketing team with content collection including photographs for promotional purposes

To be successful in this position we you will be:

- Tertiary qualified in Communications, Marketing or similar
- Driven and ambitious and not afraid to take on big challenges
- Able to lead by example, hard work and suggest business improvements wherever necessary
- An excellent communicator and able to partner cross functionally across the business
- Able to ensure procedures are in place and are adhered to for timely and accurate reporting and consolidation.
- Highly organised, has great attention to detail and a commitment to delivering to deadlines.

Overall, you will have a strong work ethic and are a self-motivated individual, possessing good common sense and judgement.

The salary on offer is commensurate with the level of skills and experience required to discharge the position’s responsibilities.
