Connect Support Services and Solutions is an NDIS service provider servicing the Ballarat and Central Highlands region.

We require Disability Support workers to engage and promote participants receiving funding from the National Disability Insurance Scheme. This is not a regular 9-5 role and we require passionate and dedicated workers who have the ability to work weekends, evenings and sleepover shifts.

The role will consist of the following;
- Residential support including weekends, active overnights and regular sleepovers.
- Social and community access within the home environment and out in the community.
- Assisting with Personal care, Domestic duties and manual handling.
- Help support clients to achieve their individual goals
- A thinking ‘outside the box’ approach
- Assist clients with many aspects of life.
- Working with a team of DSW's and Professionals to provide a person-centred approach
- You will have well developed communication and interpersonal skills, have experience interacting with a wide range of people and a minimum 6-12 months experience working in the disability or similar sector.

You will also need to have the following requirements;
- Current National Criminal Check
- Clear NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Current working with children’s check.
- A relevant qualification in Disability or similar (or relevant experience)
- 2 relevant reference checks
- have own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
- COVID-19 Vaccination

Desirable Requirements
- Flexibility in hours with the ability to do regular sleepover shifts.
- Experience working with complex mental health needs participants is desirable
