**About the role**:
The Insurance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of insurance across CDC. The incumbent will manage day-to-day operations, stakeholders (internal and external), risk analysis, cost control, compliance, board reporting and continuous process improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee the comprehensive management of a wide array of insurance policies, encompassing various categories such as property, liability, marine cargo, professional indemnity, directors and officers (D&O), travel, workers compensation, and employee benefits.
- Collaborate internally to procure principal-controlled construction insurance swiftly, covering areas like early works, material damage, liability, and Delay in Start-Up (DSU) insurance before project commencement.
- Engage stakeholders to manage negotiations and pricing of Difference in Conditions / Difference in Excess (DIS / DIE) clauses in contracts.
- Conduct thorough reviews of insurance policies to ensure adequacy for CDC's assets, liabilities, and contractual obligations, aligning excesses with CDC's risk appetite.
- Stay updated on insurance laws, promptly notifying insurers of incidents and managing claims processes to minimise losses.
- Proactively assess insurance processes for improvement opportunities and provide regular reports on premiums and claims utilisation.

- Proven track record in the insurance sector with extensive expertise in insurance principles, policies, and regulations.
- Experience overseeing insurance within the construction, property or infrastructure sector.
- Proficiency in establishing strong, trustworthy relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at executive levels.
- Proven capability in market analysis and assessing appropriate insurance to adapt to changing business landscape.

- Australian citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance
