**Gardens Point Fitness and Aquatic **is the Brisbane CBD’s hidden gem, home to one of the only inner-city pools and gyms in one place. Nestled in P Block of the QUT campus just minutes from the city, our club offers state of the art gym facilities, heart-pumping group fitness classes and a 50m Olympic-sized swimming pool.

**YMCA QUT **Gardens Point** is currently recruiting **Swimming Lessons Teachers** on a **casual basis**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The role of a** Swimming Lessons Teacher** is responsible for teaching our youth to swim in a safe and friendly environment.

Key responsibilities include:

- Structure and design classes with appropriate activities that enhance student interaction and collaboration
- Initiate and nurture group interaction and involvement of all participants in the class
- Use respectful, positive language and encouragement
- Actively work within a team environment to ensure safe, timely and effective set up/ class delivery and pack up
- Ensure appropriate attendance and competency records are completed, collated and submitted of archiving
- Comply with all legislative and organisational requirements

**ABOUT YOU**:

- AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety
- Demonstrated experience in a similar position
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimum direction and as part of a team
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills coupled with a welcoming, friendly and approachable manner
- Current certification for First Aid, CPR, or willingness to obtain
- Hold a Positive notice blue card; or willing to obtain.
