**About this Opportunity**

We are seeking a skilled Processing Operator to join the team in Rowville. Reporting to the Processing Coordinator, you will be responsible for processing and pasteurising milk and dairy products.

You must have a strong focus on quality and safety and be able to work as part of an effective team. You will need a proactive and positive attitude with the ability to deliver high quality work. Previous experience in machine or process operation such as pasteurisation, homogenisers and separators, in the food industry is preferred.

**Key responsibilities of the role are**:

- Operating pasteurisers, homogenisers, separators and associates equipment to comply with Lactalis specifications, operational and safety standards.
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards, including CIP cleaning of all equipment.
- Ensure relevant documentation are maintained to pre-set standards including completing any corrective actions.
- Accurately complete relevant quality and safety documentation.
- Formulate milk/ dairy products in accordance to specifications.
- Meet required processing schedules.
- Minimise wastage including product, ingredients, packaging, process inputs, time and chemicals.
- Report excessive wastage, defective products and equipment malfunction;
- Isolate and identify defective product.
- Provide assistance with product development and trails.

**About You**
- Experience in machine or process operation, preferably in the dairy or food industry.
- Solid understanding of GMP and HACCP principles.
- A working knowledge of SAP and CITEC is desirable but not essential.
- Fault finding/ troubleshooting skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Qualification in Food processing is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work shift work, overtime and weekends as required.
