**About The Role**

In your new role as Development Engineering Manager, you’ll be accountable for leading the technical development of new energy projects for Origin specifically leading all technical and design requirements. Your new role will be specifically involved at the Idea, Design and Validate stages of projects and providing ongoing support to Project Managers/Directors in execution. Your natural ability to manage and engage internal and external stakeholders will support you with collaborating and recruiting expertise across the Origin business where the skills and capabilities of the individual will add to project solutions.

**Key Responsibilities will include**:

- Lead and manage technical inputs to multiple projects;
- Develop and manage a core engineering team as well as engaging secondees and consultants as required.
- Support Development Managers and Project Managers in leading technical inputs towards projects;
- Identify appropriate technical controls and leading implementation for key risks during implementation;
- Review emergent technologies identified by the business in terms of risk and performance.

**Is this you?**

**Your resume should be able to demonstrate**:

- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering with extensive relevant work experience
- Demonstrable experience within the renewable energy sector
- Leadership capability with excellent people management and influencing skills
- Previous knowledge or experience in technical due diligence activities
- Demonstrated capability in Development Projects, Project Risk, and Change Management processes
- Ability to travel as required
