**About the Role**:
An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Consultant within the General Medicine unit at Lyell McEwin Hospital.

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is a leading provider of public healthcare services in South Australia.

The Consultant - General Medicine is responsible for the provision of an effective General Medical Service within the objectives and the philosophies of the Hospital, including:

- Provision of medical care to public inpatients and outpatients.
- Provision of training and supervision to undergraduate and post graduate medical trainees.
- Encouraging and supporting team work amongst staff for optimal clinical service outcomes.
- Participation in quality, safety and clinical risk management activities.
- Involvement in continuing professional development activities.

To be eligible for this position, you must hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, and appropriate Specialist Qualifications which are registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.

The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.

Mental Health - The Division of Mental Health provides a comprehensive range of public mental health services for youth, adults and older people in northern Adelaide. Services are provided through community health centres and hospitals
