**Patient Services Assistant - Level 4** We are seeking experienced **Patient Service Assistants** to join our **Environmental Services** team at **Joondalup Health Campus.** **Part Time** opportunities available. **About the Role** The Patient Service Assistant is responsible in performing all cleaning tasks, which includes decontamination of beds and cleaning of Wards and equipment. Maintains a safe, clean Ward/Unit environment in accordance with Infection Control and Occupational Safety and Health regulations. Under direction and supervision, you will provide effective support contributing to the operational management of the hospital. You will be expected to deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external customers and patients and be required to assist in stock maintenance and control. Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to. - Perform all cleaning tasks, which includes decontamination of beds and cleaning of Wards, Rooms, Toilets, Common areas, Public Areas, and equipment’s. - Perform all Waste Management tasks, which includes decontamination of all the bins and securely managing the “Clinical Waste” of the Hospital. - Recognise the “Ramsay Way” providing care and commitment. Support the organisational Environmental goals in performance of all duties. - Identifies risks and hazards and reports promptly to ensure that safety measures are maintained. - Flexibility to work across a seven-day **rotating roster** is essential for this role. - Perform other adhoc duties as required and requested by management such as waste removal and others. As directed by CARPS supervisors you will work closely with a collaborative and cooperative team that is responsive and sensitive to our patient needs, wants and information. Reporting to the Environmental Services Management. **About You** To succeed in this role, you will be self-motivated and work effectively under the direction of the Environmental Services Team Leader. You will demonstrate a good work ethic that includes punctuality, integrity, respect for others, and a commitment to professional practice. - Demonstrated experience in a Hospitality/ Healthcare Cleaning. - Adhering to use all the correct waste management streams. - Commitment to exceed customer satisfaction. - Sound time management, effective communication, and interpersonal skills. - High level of personal presentation and adhering to uniform policy. - High level of cleaning skills and chemical usage including Knowledge and Understanding of material data safety sheets. - Knowledge and understanding of Manual Handling principles, Occupational Safety and Health practices, Infection Control and Housekeeping Protocols, including usage of cleaning equipment. - Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required. **Remuneration** Will be based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. **Why Joondalup Health Campus?** Joondalup Health Campus is the largest health care provider with a 750-bed facility in Perth’s northern suburbs, providing 24-hour acute care from an integrated public and private campus.
