Every day the City of Perth delivers essential services behind the scenes that allow residents, ratepayers and visitors to enjoy our capital city.

To help deliver essential sanitation services, we are seeking Waste and Cleaning Plant Operators to join our team.
- Maintaining a high level of cleanliness, performing waste collection duties and driving the City’s waste collection vehicles
- Actively promoting responsible waste minimisation and recycling to City of Perth businesses, residents and visitors
- Delivering outstanding service and establishing a reputation of customer service excellence

To succeed in this position, you will need a strong work ethic, positive attitude and a high level of commitment and willingness to help during busy periods.

With the nature of the role you will be required to safely perform a range of physical tasks and duties as directed, understand occupational health and safety in terms of personal responsibility and public safety and have knowledge of correct manual handling practices.

A current HR class licence with demonstrated experience is required.

As members of the 24/7 operation, both the day and night shifts commence and conclude at our Osborne Park Depot with free secure parking available for City employees.

**Dayshift - work requirements**

Dayshift team members will begin their shift at 6.00am and finish at approximately 2.00pm with normal shifts covering Monday to Friday including public holidays.

**Nightshift - work requirements**

Nightshift team members will begin their shift at 8.00pm and finish at 4.30am with normal shifts covering Sunday to Thursday nights including public holidays.

Opportunity to work additional hours are available for both dayshift and nightshift team members.
