Being an OSHC educator holds a lot of flexibility to prioritise study or family needs, and at the Y, you might just discover a family of your own - we have a supportive on the ground and at head office.
**What being an OSHC Educator Entails**
OSHC educators care for children before school, after school and during school holiday periods. Highlights include running fascinating, fun-filled and educational activities with primary school children - such as science experiments, outdoor games and painting.
As an OSHC Educator you will:
- hold a rewarding, challenging and interesting position;

**YMCA Benowa Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)** is next to the Access Centre and operates Monday to Friday from 6:30am - 8:45am and 2:55pm - 6:00pm and from 6:00am - 6:00pm during the holidays..
**YMCA Benowa Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)** is operated by qualified and experienced educators that are supported by a professional, highly dedicated Management and Administration team. The stability and quality offered by the support of YMCA Brisbane, including over 150 years of experience and 35+ OSHC services, guarantees every child is given the opportunity to grow in body, mind and spirit.
Our program is developed according to the My Time Our Place Framework and is centralised around the elements of Belonging, Being and Becoming. Through our program we have created an environment which is safe, inclusive, diverse, engaging and fun. By learning through play, our children are encouraged to discover and explore their world and cultivate a sense of self. We believe all children are born with the desire and ability to develop, learn and explore and deserve to have opportunities and experiences that challenge their diverse needs.
**To be successful you must have**:
- A Certificate or Diploma qualification in Children Services or equivalent or if you are studying towards a relevant qualification
- A Fantastic sense of fun & a tremendous imagination
- Hold or are willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification
- Current Blue Card or willing to obtain one
