Assistant Coordinator

The YMCA is the fastest growing OSHC provider in the South East with over 50 services, which in turn provides our staff with the ability to grow and move through the company as their careers head to the next level.

We are currently recruiting for an **Assistant Coordinator** to join our team at **YMCA Benowa Outside School Hours Care (OSHC).**

This is a **permanent, part-time position**. Your working hours per week will be 34.5 hours during school term and 38 hours during vacation care time.

In this position, you will assist the Service Coordinator with the day-to-day running of the service and management of a team of Educators. You will receive support from a dedicated management team, consisting of the Coordinator, Senior Coordinator, Area Coordinator, Regional Manager and the OSHC Manager.

**YMCA Benowa Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)** is next to the Access Centre and operates Monday to Friday from 6:30am - 8:45am and 2:55pm - 6:00pm, and from 6:00am - 6:00pm during the holidays.

**YMCA Benowa Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)** is operated by qualified and experienced Educators that are supported by a professional, highly dedicated Management and Administration team. **As an OSHC Assistant Coordinator you will assist with**:

- The development of quality programs
- Manage the day to day running of the programs
- Support the Coordinator with staff management
- Ensure compliance with policy
- Undertake administrative requirements
- Work collaboratively with families and the school community

**SELECTION CRITERIA**
- Completed (or close to completion) of relevant qualifications in Childcare or Teaching (Minimum of Diploma in Children’s Services)
- Demonstrated experience in assisting with programing and a passion for providing quality childcare
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining effective administration and correct documentation in an OSHC service
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- First Aid and CPR certifications, or willingness to obtain them
- Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain one
- National Qualifications Framework knowledge advantageous
