**Experienced Female Support Worker - Complex Needs**

**Location**: Canberra, ACT
**Employment Type**: Casual
**Hours**: 6 - 25 hours per week (with potential for more for the right person)
**Pay Rate**: $37 - $42 per hour (depending on experience)

**About Us**
Primo Care Disability Services is a Canberra-based NDIS provider committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support to individuals living with disability. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced **female support worker** to join our team in supporting a participant with **complex support needs**.

**About the Role**
You will be working one-on-one with a participant who requires structured, consistent support due to complex behavioural and psychosocial needs. The role requires a calm, confident and compassionate professional who can implement positive support strategies, establish strong rapport, and maintain clear boundaries.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide reliable and consistent support with daily living tasks
- Support the participant’s emotional regulation and goal progression
- Promote independence and community participation
- Engage in activities that encourage routine, structure and stability
- Communicate effectively with the participant’s team, including family and therapists
- Maintain professional boundaries and thorough documentation

**Essential Criteria**
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in disability or mental health support
- Proven ability to work with participants with complex needs or behaviours of concern
- Female support worker only (due to participant preference)
- Excellent communication, patience and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, and weekends

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
- NDIS Orientation Module (or willingness to complete)
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services or relevant field (preferred)
