**Job Description**:
As our multidicisplinary team in the ACT continues to grow, we would like to appoint a suitably experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner, with current suitability at the Proficient or Advanced or Specialist level, as Team Leader.

To support our manager with developing the team's capabilities, we require a Behaviour Support Practitioner with a passion for leadership. Whether you are an experienced leader, or you may be looking for the opportunity to step into leadership on a permanent basis, we would love to hear from you

This role will require you to put your exceptional clinical skills to use as you make a difference in the lives of the participants on your caseload and foster the development of others in the team. You will...
- Provide mentorship, training and formal 1:1 supervision to team members
- Run monthly peer group supervision sessions
- Deliver much needed positive behaviour supports to participants in the community
- Assist NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning
- Develop and deliver evidence-based support plans which include meaningful goals and practical strategies, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, which can be applied in the home and community

**Qualifications**:
To be considered suitable you will have:

- Current suitability - confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission - at the Proficient or Advanced or Specialist level as a Behaviour Support Practitoner
- Experience in the NDIS sector
- Considerable report/plan writing experience
- Demonstrated capability to effectively lead and mentor other allied health professionals
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas
- Looking for a fun, collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary work environment
