**The role**:

- The Production Manager - Renewals Planning is required to provide leadership and technical expertise in the long term planning for the Track Renewals team.
- The successful applicant will have a solid understanding of track renewals and the delivery of associated works. Day to day duties will involve supporting the delivery of works by assisting with planning, project management, work methodology and implementation of works on site to ensure work is completed efficiently, safely and complies with designs and Metro Trains’ standards.- This permanent full time role is located at the E-Gate Infrastructure Depot, Docklands. Hybrid working model available, based on business requirements.**Main duties**:

- Provide technical expertise in maintenance and renewals works
- Develop long term plans to delivery necessary track renewals works, including alignment to occupations and detailed scoping of the tasks
- Seek and implement innovative methods of improving production and safety
- Support the delivery of works by assisting with planning, project management, work methodology and implementation of works on site to ensure work is completed efficiently, safely and complies with designs and Metro Trains’ standards
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with the Technical Maintenance Plan and/or the Annual Works Plan
- Monitor the quality of works undertaken and ensure corrective actions are undertaken where deficiencies are identified
- Carry out investigations as required and review and manage all investigation reports within their area of expertise
- Perform risk assessments of processes, work practices, materials, suppliers and innovations to ensure work is delivered as efficiently and safely as possible
- Other tasks as identified by the Track Renewals Manager

**Education, skills and experience**:
**Mandatory**:

- Experience in the rail industry
- Experience in managing operational functions or projects within the rail or related industry

**Preferred**:

- Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
