A newly created role to support a dedicated Tenements Specialist. Highly personable and experienced, they will take a guiding role in further upskilling you as you continue your development in this space.

The portfolio sits at 100 (approx), with part of the attraction of this role being around the support of another exploration push. Initially being offered as a six-month contract, growth may support this role beyond that tenure.

Key will be maintaining a range of external relationships, including within pastoralists, statutory bodies including the Department of Mines, and Native Title Holders. Internally, you will be assisting on the reporting on collaborations between exploration, legal and approvals around tenement matters.

You can expect to be involved with:

- Continued compliance and statutory requirements for existing tenement requirements including renewals, rental payments, conversions & exemptions, reliefs, extensions,
- Lodging objections, drafting access agreements, liaising with legal around submissions
- Administration relevant to tenements; raising purchase orders, rental payments, expenditure statements and internal reporting.

About you:

- You will bring proven experience in the tenements or geological database space within WA mining
- GIS experience is preferred (Datamine/Mapinfo/ArcGIS)
- Qualifications in a legal, geology or business discipline highly regarded
- Strong working knowledge of the Mining Act and Warden’s Court processes
