This is an exciting phase in our history and we are looking for an experienced Lab Technician, based in Melbourne that will see you working within our Engineering Services division.

As the Lab Technician, your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to;
Preparation of batteries and associated equipment for testing while working within established operating procedures and work instructions
Document test results and data for further analysis by scientists/engineers
Maintenance of test facilities, liaise with engineering and scientific staff as required, prepare hardware and materials, conduct pre-test, checks and post-test clean-up
Assist in preparation of compliance documentation required for the safe operation of the laboratory is in place and current including managing the risks of hazardous chemicals in the workplace
Assist in the preparation and review of risk assessments and process documentation
To be successful in the role of Lab Technician, you will need demonstrated experience, knowledge & skills in the following areas:
Demonstrated experience in laboratory testing with electrical/electronics experience being highly regarded
Ability to interpret and following testing protocols and standards
Good oral and written communication skills including the ability to collate, interpret and report technical information, concepts, procedures and laboratory test results
Understanding of WHS principles relating to testing laboratories
A tertiary qualification in Science or engineering is highly desirable but not essential or proven electronics/electrical experience in a laboratory testing environment
