Easy Authoring is seeking an experienced Communications Officer for a High-profile government department for an exciting array of projects

**Purpose of the role**:
The Communications Officer will undertake a variety of projects and prepare a range of disability-related communication resources and correspondence including support for social media activities, sector engagement and web content.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Collaborate with other corporate directorates and divisions and coordinate tasks associated with the
delivery of key projects within the unit.
- Develop and maintain a network of contacts with officers both within and outside the division to assist in the flow of information, correspondence, and communication to meet identified timelines and commitments and provision of high-quality advice.
- Develop communication plans in collaboration with project teams from within and outside the directorate to support the implementation of a range of projects.
- Manage individual projects to completion as negotiated by the Senior Program Manager
- Prepare draft reports, briefings and other correspondence and liaise with other division staff on the
development of specialized presentations and communication resources, as required
- Provide executive support to project teams with responsibility for the implementation of key education
reforms and initiatives.
- Undertake research and analysis of information or situations to support the management of initiatives and development of options for implementation in relation to the key education reforms.

**Key challenges**:

- Influencing stakeholders and supporting change and adoption of new practices.
- Managing multiple tasks with competing deadlines while negotiating with stakeholders and meeting customer expectations
