**About the role**

In this 6-month role, you will actively engage with our private customers to facilitate the resolution of aged outstanding debts.

**Your day-to-day responsibilities will include**:

- Initiate contact with private customers in a professional and empathetic manner to discuss outstanding debts.
- Initiate contact with current clients in a professional and empathetic manner, focusing on aged debt > 160 days.
- Establish rapport and build relationships with these customers to resolve conflict or payment disputes.
- Ownership over private customer debt management.
- Preparing regular reports on debt statistics for the Credit Manager
- Analysing trends and proposing new strategies to for improving collection rate.
- Liaising with internal teams to consolidate customer ledgers and follow-up customer queries.
- Conducting all activities in-line with company policy and industry regulations.

**What you'll bring to the role**
- Exceptional phone-manner, previous experience is highly regarded.
- Clear communication skills - both verbally and in writing.
- Problem-solving skills - be able to consider options and devise appropriate strategies to recover debt.
- Time management skills - managing a portfolio of accounts and prioritising any escalated cases.
