
Brand Manager

As a **Brand Manager** based in **Clayton, Victoria**, you will report to the Head of Marketing on a Fixed-term Contract basis (12 months full-time). You will develop and implement marketing programs for designated brands for the Australian and New Zealand markets.
**Responsibilities**
- Develop annual marketing plans for designated brands.
- Compile and implement brand plans which encompass strategic brand direction, main objectives and initiatives, promotional programs, and quantitative performance measures.
- Contribute to the development of a 3-year strategy for the category.
- Collaborate with the designated Business Team in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and ensure marketing strategies are compatible with sales plans.
- Stay informed about the trends and new competitors in the paint market, ensuring PPG stays aware of competitor brand activities and promotional programs.
- Work with local and global R&D teams to identify new product opportunities from the global portfolio to build a new product pipeline that aligns with the Business Strategy.
- Develop and implement promotion and advertising activities for designated brands/products to achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly business objectives.
- Develop & execute new product development plan on time to ensure the marketing goals are achieved.
- Analyse and interpret marketing, trade, and consumer research information and make recommendations to the Business Team regarding pricing, promotions, distribution channels, advertising, and competition.
- Communicate with relevant international product development teams on product development programs, and global insights to ensure local requirements are considered in the development process.
- Communicate with the sales team to maintain support for products and brands in both retail and trade.
- Help develop marketing plans, which include profit estimates, to maximise market share, and achieve sales and profit objectives.
- Review sales performance of products and recommend changes in pricing, media, and product mix.
- Evaluate new products and forecast potential sales.
- Consult with sales, operations, and finance to ensure the most effective and profitable marketing of products.
- Conduct financial analysis of marketing and promotional expenditure.
**Qualifications**
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in brand management or product management.
- Experience in new product development and portfolio management.
- Experience partnering with advertising and promotional agencies to develop consumer promotions and advertising campaigns.
- Sound experience using different marketing techniques.
- Good commercial and financial knowledge and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
